Happy 2020 gorgeous ones! We’re just a few days into the new year and I’m already ready to throw this whole thing away and start over. But alas we are here. I’m all into mantras this year and I came across a viral post from some dude named Terry (pictured below). When I tell you he knows our lives girl… these 28 mantras are life.
Numbers 7-9! Oh and 15. And 25 is my pet peeve, girl that ain’t mine!
Whew chillay… and really all of this! Enjoy and proceed accordingly in the glorious new year of the lawrdts!
“If it’s not a definite yes, it’s a no.” – My Therapist
“I acted loyal to a man when I should not have.” – Michael Cohen
God told me: It is not the promise that makes you a man. It is the PROCESS. If you miss the process giving you the promise will not help you because the process makes you able to bear the “weight” of the PROMISE.
I ain’t putting pressure on nobody. I let you do what you wanna do so, I can see what you’d rather do.
You own everything that has happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them. They should’ve behaved better.
Here’s the thing — you’re in love with a version of a person that you’ve created in your head, that you are trying to but cannot fix. The only thing you can fix is yourself. – Ariana Grande
You can do all things through Christ EXCEPT play with me.
If you don’t see the value of having me by your side, I won’t convince you.
Stop playing with me like I’m regular.
This I know to be true: “Maturity allows you to forgive people who aren’t sorry.”
“Until I see my notes applied, it doesn’t make sense for me to make more.” – Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter
A younger me swore I didn’t need that much attention from a partner. Older, more self-aware, living in my truth me knows damn well that was some bullsh*t. People I’ve attempted to talk to lived far to far-ish from me and were not at all communicative enough. I should never have to press you to wanna talk to me or look for you. Sporadic and inconsistent communication is a deal-breaker and won’t work “for me.” I can’t try to make fetch happen with someone who only wants to call or text me every 5-7 business days. That may be fine for her over there but as for me and my house, I’mma need you to act like you like me, n*gga.
A lot of sh*t broke my heart but, fixed my vision.
Anything I lost I wasn’t supposed to have. Anybody, I lost I wasn’t supposed to be around.
I gotta stop expecting ME out of folks.
The worst pain is getting hurt by a person you explained your pain too.
Clear your throat. Lubricate. Read that b*tch!
“When are you free to meet?” “We should meet up soon.” The first one takes ownership. The second one lacks commitment.
If he says he’s not in a relationship with anyone, ASK HIM if anyone is in a relationship with him… JUST TO BE SURE!
Any man that hits you with: “So you don’t wanna f*ck with me no more?”, after you’ve laid out your argument, evidence, and a closing statement is TOXIC AF. LEAVE him alone or he will ruin your life. TRUST ME NIECE!
You cannot be INTERESTED and INCONSISTENT.
Not everything that weighs you down is yours to carry. -Snoh
B*tch just live your life… Everything ain’t gotta be about a n*gga. (It be like that sometimes!)
Revoking people’s access to me is my favorite flex.
People would rather discuss your reaction to a trigger, and not the trigger itself. – Preston Mitchum
I’m sorry “if” is not a complete apology. I’m sorry “for” is how you take complete accountability.
Intention doesn’t absolve you. While it’s an important component to your actions, if something you’ve done/said doesn’t land the way you intended, you’re still responsible for acknowledging whatever feelings/actions they incite. – Chris Johnson
First I treat you how I wanna be treated. AND then I treat you how you treat me. (That’s how this works…)
